PLHS Boy's Basketball Receiving Many Post Season Honors
Kaws well represented on All Area and All League Teams

The PLHS Boy's Basketball Teams resurgence over the last 3 years has not gone unnoticed by the media and coaches around the area. But going 31-12 over the last two years will garner some positive attention.
The Lawrence Journal World announced their All Area team recently and Kaws Shane Gimzo and Kyle Morgison were named to the 10 player first team and Head Coach Jeff Dickson was named the All Area Coach of the Year. Junior Post Man , Joel Gantz was named Honorable Mention.
In the Kaw Valley League voting, PLHS had 3 players named to the first team with Gimzo, Morgison and Gantz all making the 12 player list. For Gimzo and Gantz it was their first time making the first team and for Morgison it marked the second season in a row , that he made the first team.
" It is great for our kids and our program to receive these types of honors and all of our kids realize that it is our team success and what ALL of our kids do together that make these honors possible. But we wouldn't be even close to 19-3 without all of the good things that Andy, Caleb, Brad, Riley and Caleb Wege brought us. I am proud of all of our guys and those honors are very well deserved, " said Coach Dickson.
