Colleges in the state of Kansas are starting to recognize the athletic resurgence at PLHS. The Kaw Football team is proving to be the source of alot of interest from college football coaches.
Two more Kaws are headed to the next level to play College Football. Senior Caleb Denton coming off of a fantastic All State career will continue his playing days with Ottawa University.
"Caleb was a first team all-state player and will play defensive back for Ottawa University next fall. Ottawa is in a rebuilding process and has made a huge commitment to their facilities and programs. Caleb will be a factor in returning Brave football back into a league and playoff contender," said Football Coach Mike Paramore.
Our other Kaw heading to the college gridiron is All League Lineman Alex Hackathorn. Alex is going to Dodge City to help solidify their line.
"Alex has a great opportunity out at Dodge City. They have a new staff and outstanding facilities. He is in a position to come in right away and be a major contributor on the offensive line," said Coach Paramore.
"I am extremely excited that both of these guys have decided to continue their football careers at the college level. They will be good representatives of Perry-Lecompton High School both athletically and academically, " added Coach Paramore.
