Kaw Golfers Qualify for 4A State!
Boys Finish 3rd at Regional

The PLHS Varsity Boys Golf Team finished in 3rd place at yesterday's regional golf tournament held in Atchison. The Kaws were led by a 6th place finish from Caleb Wege and an 11th place finish from Trae Chambers. Caleb and Trae have both qualified for Monday's state golf tournament to be held in Manhattan.
"The conditions were not the best for golf on Monday, however the kids competed well. The wind and rough made it extremely difficult to hit fairways and greens all day. All six players performed well. Caleb and Trae are the two individual qualifiers from the school this year. To qualify, the top five individuals not on winning teams advance. Caleb was the second individual qualifier and Trae was the fifth. I was extremely proud of both of them yesterday for not becoming frustrated and maintained their focus when challenges faced them. Both will compete at the state golf tournament which will be held Monday, September 19th in Manhattan, " said Coach Dennis Vigna.
