Lecompton Elementary School
I graduated from Jackson Heights in 2003. I spent two years at Ottawa University and three years at Washburn University. I played basketball in college for three years, two at Ottawa and one at Washburn. I graduated from Washburn University this year with a degree in physical education after doing my student teaching at PLHS and Perry Elementary School.
I got married last summer to my wife Heidi (see the picture above). She currently attends Baker University where she is a chemistry major, plays basketball, and is expected to graduate next year. She is planning to attend medical school after that.
I have two brothers and a sister, and they are all younger then me. My brother Travis, 21, currently attends Ottawa University. My brother Taylor, 16, and sister Jayna, 14, both go to Holton High School.
My dad teaches PE at Jackson Heights, and he coached for 23 years. My mom teaches Special Education at Delia Charter School.
In my free time I like to fish and hunt. I also enjoy almost all sports, but my favorites are football, basketball, and golf.
I am extremely excited to work in the Perry‑Lecompton School District. I am looking forward to start teaching at Lecompton Elementary and meeting the students and their families.
