Learning Never Stops

...at USD 343

“Rise and shine for Summer School!”

This year, about 100 Perry-Lecompton students will hear those words and head out the door for an extended learning opportunity.  They will meet their teachers for a few extra days of learning during the month of June.  You may see them in and around the schools early in the morning, working on credit recovery or Drivers’ Education at PLHS and catching up on missed concepts at PLMS and Perry Elementary School.

We are fortunate to have a Board of Education, teachers, secretaries, bus drivers, and administrators who are willing and able to provide this extra boost to our students.  The “summer camp” atmosphere is relaxed and the classes are small, so each student receives targeted assistance in a positive, supported way.  Summer school only meets in the morning, leaving students plenty of unstructured time every day to participate in other community activities and just to play.

Our schools are centers of learning from August through June.  We appreciate the regular upgrades, renovations, and new construction made possible by our patrons!
